THEKINGsBACK Posted December 18, 2011 Report Share Posted December 18, 2011 This might be an dumb question but, I'm looking to buy an avalanche an was wondering if you had to cut anything for your blow through or was it removeable? he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. Measure it out and see if you can get one locally. The belt came with the bracket as a kit.I doubt if I could even find a belt long enough here in Italy see if you can find a small time mechanic. We had one named Pietro that could get ANYTHING! The whole midgate is removable.Pretty easy also just a couple bolts and it comes right out. Real96SS Posted December 19, 2011 Author Report Share Posted December 19, 2011 Belt goes from alt2 straight to alt3 then the tensioner Got the belt on but it was a pain.I had to loosen some pulleys to gain some slack and then damn near had to pry the belt on.Either way its on but the tensioner is pretty much fully extended.Is it suppose to be this way or does it start to return to normal after the truck has been running for awhile? Real96SS Posted December 19, 2011 Author Report Share Posted December 19, 2011 Okay nobody has chimed in yet on this belt problem so lets move on to something else in the meantime.I got another set of the Alpine 6.5's today and the harness for the alternators.No sure if its the right one but it only has one plug on it.Can any of you guys that run multiple alternators let me know if you need a plug for all alternators or are they somehow linked by some other wiring.Also trying to figure out how I'm going to mount the amps.Right now I'm pushing to mount one on each side and put the batteries in the middle.Here are the pics. I will post pictures of the alternator harness here soon so you guys can see which one I have.
