Stephen
weaksauce, only a 400a? gay.... dont worry it will be more at 18.9v charging 400a is only the 12v rating power formula, you do not know it. you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. kirill007
weaksauce, only a 400a? gay.... dont worry it will be more at 18.9v charging 400a is only the 12v rating That would be very weird since it would be producing 60% more wattage, so a LOT more heat. It's the other way around, 400a*12v=4800W And at 18v it should be 4800W/18v=270a. It could be a bit more or less depending on how the alternators are built. Maybe it will be more since they overbuild their alts. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
zayres29
Im confused then I have been put under the impression that the more voltage the less stress on the alt and therefore making it easier to produce more amps I guess I was wrong.... Mechman did tell me though that this alt will perfectly suit my application though they wouldn't sell me something that wouldn't do what I need just to make a sale they would have tried to sell me something else instead Btw that was the first person. monkeyleg
Can you post a link to this log on your old log? Just for anyone that might have trouble finding it. ...so the alternator will be less efficient at a higher voltage? Google it
