Bump4life Posted January 11, 2012 Report Share Posted January 11, 2012 If you have a quality amp with the electrical to back up (aka. big 3 bats and possibly H/O alt) then you will be fine in most situations. of course all installs and vehicles are different. most amps warranty are voided under 1 ohm so proceed with caution but you should be good. getlocivic Posted January 11, 2012 Report Share Posted January 11, 2012 you traded 2 alpine type x 12s for single jl w7.. wow i wouldnt have dont that.. bc PSI can recone the type xs as the w7 he will not mess with anymore.. i had a pair of type x 12s and loved em for a "mainstream" company.. sounded better than a friends w7..
