SQMonte
Planning a new box build and am pretty sure i'm gonna be going with an aero port this time instead of a slot port. That being said, I have no idea what i'm getting myself in to as I've never worked with one before. Hell, I've only built two custom boxes ever. So what I was wondering is if you guys could explain the best way to install them? Any special techniques or tips? How would I ensure the port was flush with the box? Any help would be appreciated. SQMonte
The part of cutting the hole, cutting the tube to length, assembling the tube, bolting the tube to the box, those are all obvious. I was asking more specifically how to make the port flush with the box. Keith77
How are you going finish the box (carpet/paint?) Quote Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born. My penis is bigger than your penis I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.
Airborne
Figure the radius of the inner most part of the flare mounting "flange", Grab a circle jig (I use a Jasper) set it up accordingly and use an upcut bit to knock it down about 1/8". Do the "counter sink" before you cut the hole or you are going to have to free hand it with a router.
