Rection Posted December 28, 2011 Author Report Share Posted December 28, 2011 keep that in mind with steel being harder than brass and its hard for me to believe its not going to cause more wear on extractors and stuff like that. that is exactly why i dont use it. from working in machining, i know that if your building a part that is gonna have a wear point, it is better to use a brass bushing because that is cheaper to replace than the entire part. brass is softer than steel so the brass will wear instead of the critical parts of the gun. i have seen failures happen in all kinds of guns due to steel case ammo. it will really kill the hell out of an ar15 extractor and bolt face.
