I've been in 165+ burp vehicles, but there's nothing like 158db at 30ish hz........

Dale
This was my first encounter with a REALLY loud system: Before the breakdown: 6 JL Audio 12" W6s with a pair of PA 3000DB walled off in an Accord wagon (btw where is Accordman? lol) Next up...4 Kicker L7 12s powered by a pair of RF amps in this wagon...as you would expect...loud Finally...this wagon (see a pattern?) is my favorite. Not only is it VERY loud...but It's very loud and very clean. I mean you could hear the singer inhale before a line before the breakdown: 3 JL Audio 13.5" W7s....each powered by a MMATS 1400.

assman
the loudest Ive heard and sat in was a old friend of mine named Jimmy Zimmerman. He competes professionally for Polk and MTX and holds quite a few records. I havent seen or talked to Jimmy in about 2 yrs but anyway he had a Dodge Dakota walled with 18 Polk Momo 12s, 18 MTX 1500Ds, a 4" Momo comp set in the A-pillars and kicks, 2-6.5" Momo Comp sets in each door and several Momo 6x9s at the edge of the wall....He was farting in the mid 160s. He had a stand that controlled the volume from outside the truck. He used a ton of dynomat and he sealed everything up with rhino liner. That was the first time I saw Rhino liner used for car stereo. Last time I talked to him he had a Volkswagon with submarine glass with just 2-MTXs ( not sure which subs because this was back in about 04') that farting low 70s. I heard tell of that Volkswagon but never saw it in person, but i did see a couple of 6ft trophies he won off of it. He taught me alot of stuff by just by watching him because he and his son did all his installs. Steve reminds me alot of him the way you guys do ur own builds and ur knowledge of it. WOW Jimmy Z,thats a name from the past.I knew him well, havent seen him for awhile also. When he had the dakota with the polks in it we always went head to head at the comps. He is a great guy. kingsuv
Yeah if you would make it down here to LA I would show you loud. Those woofers are a handi-cap lmao j/k. Your not doing too bad for a newbie. What do you know about being loud? Last time I checked, You couldn't get that 150 in bassrace, As a matter of fact, you couldn't get that pos out of town. Why would people drive all the way down there to see a car not perform? Last time I checked, the woofers weren't my handi-cap, It's the lack of power I put to them I'm not going to dignify the newbie with a comment. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
