baaudio
its fine to run that. that woofer was a 4 ohm load on that amp anyways k this was incorrect, it is 2 ohm, pardon my ignorance here. its cheaper for the customer and the shop to run 2 8s after the fuse holder then run a 4 gauge run and and a distro block in the back. they have 4 going into the fuse holder and 2 8s coming out. are they cutting corners by using a single 4 channel rca too? or would it be better to pay for two sets of rcas.... Nine8SST
Look at Ray's work.....no, not all shops do shitty work. But just like in tattooing, there is always your bread and butter work....not something you necessarily want to do, but you do to pay the bills and keep your doors open. 1998 SS/T Ram Build Log - Kenwood KVT-514 and KNA-G510 Navigation - 2 DC Level 3 12" - Components??? - Sundown ??? - Sundown??? - Knu Konceptz - Second Skin Dampy Pro - XS D6500

ellowmoto
i think the gauge wire they used in that case did the job just fine, being as short as it was, and not all doors rattle super bad, and need very little deadener to achieve the desired outcome. Their wor is okay IMO
Miguels
shops will cut corner even if you pay the big bucks to get it done, its better to get it done by someone that loves to do what they do because they will put detail into it. and you can always do it yourself my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

__d_a_v_i_d__
It is funny to see people bitch when someone cuts corners and in the same breath bitch about what a REAL shop charges to have it done right. Fuck-em if you do and fuck-em if you don't THIS. Those who can't do it always complain about those that can and how much they charge. Hats off to many of the DIY'ers out there. Not every shop cuts corners, not every shop is behind on the times, and not every shop is ignorant of underground brands. But every shop does have what we call "humans" and they will either do their research or they won't. I know it would be GREAT if shops were the standard for knowledge, but just like every officer isn't a professor on the law, you have to also do your own research. There is such a thing as consumer responsibility. Exaxtly, but they have already been charge before hand, so they just went with the wrong peeps.. . yea i saw that when i watched it, was actually shocked.. always thought they did quality work, but that IMO was half assed Same here.. oh well... i know kingsuv does great work. pm comin your way. bass_stalker
personally most shops Ive been to i cannot stand, one of the shops i went to while looking to see if there was anybody that repairs amps nearby, said " that i can do anything you pay me to do" now i have been to one shop that actually is helpful and seems to know what they are talking about, prices are a little marked up, but that's with any shop, now when i went to them i was a first time customer but they still treated me like i had been doing business there for years, so even though their prices are higher i'll still go back to them if i get in a bind and need some fuses or terminals or something JEEP BUILD PROJECT ANTIBLING.2000 jeep Cherokee.HEADUNITAlpine Cda-9886SUBSTAGE1 acendent 18" audio mayhem motor with a TI basket and tantric parts1 prototype DAT hellfire 1000.1HIGHSStockELECTRICALdb link 0 gaugeKnuconceptz Kolossus 4 gauge1 xs power d3400 under hoodBig 3 upgradeold fourwheeler build The only way to delete your SMD account is for you crawl to steve meades door step on your knees and pleade for his forgiveness and acceptance to be released...He will either grant your wishes.....or choke you with a large piece of 0 gauge and electrocute you by hooking up a solid gold DC 12k at 0.000001 ohm and 10000 volts to your eye sockets and blow your head apart You guys act like you have never clogged a toilet and ran around the bathroom frantically hoping it don't overflow.
