That is a limiting factor in the instantaneous power output. Like has been said many times the XP3000 has less instantaneous power than the D3100. It has even been brought up that you couldn't use the same buss bars to hook up XP3000 and D3100 together, because the terminals are different. The pads on the XP3000 is actually like the old D3100 pads, and they still have close to twice the surface area that the other battery in that video has.
