Ballen194 Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 Rem 700 is on top of the list and as for caliber I'd stick with .308. But the 700 is also pretty expensive. I have used the cheaper and still extremely reliable Savage Axis. You can get them with an XP package which includes a scope but I'd just get the Axis and buy a bigger scope seperatly. I can vouch for this rifle being extremely accurate as well. And as I said before I'd chamber it in .308. Lots of cities swat and army do use this cartridge for their prefered distance shooting.
