First attempt at door panels/pods

Recommended Posts

well, with money in mind in needing the money to get the car painted i can get the t2 set for about 240 or 2 of those promidbass speaker and punch tweeters for about 120. half the price for the punch and im not real big on sq for this car and im only gonna run the the doors off of a t400.4, oh and the rear doors will reamain the t1 6x8s that are in there now

well, made up my mind quickly, just now realized that the crossovers that come with the tweets dont have the lp on them so just a set of the t1 tweets to add to the t1 6x8s upfront.

1 t600.4

1 t400.2

1 set p1 tweets

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

I'm gonna be doing the same to my truck. It will be my first time as well. Post as many pics as you can. I've just purchased 2 sets of the MB quart onxy series components. Will be powered by rf power 400.4. I just don't know the enclosure attaches to the door once its finished.

so, if you wre to add say 3 layers of matting about how much thicker will it be? i know that yu use a fleece or stretchy fabric to get the general shape you want but then when you add matting it builds up. im wanting to know how much it builds up from 2-4 layers so that when i do my doors i can make sure i compensate for that. i like my leg room and im gonna try to keep it all flush with the rest of the door

Did a little more work this weekend, sanding took up a lot of time

Probably going to do one more layer of filler to get rid of the small holes, then painting time

Added two layers of cloth and more glass on outside for strength on each

1-1.jpg

2-1.jpg

Hit it with some 50 grit to knock it down as much as I could for less filler

3-1.jpg

Made a pretty big mess with bondo

After 120 grit

After 320 grit
