worked a wreck from 3am-9am yesterday. 3/4 ton and a gooseneck cattle trailer. Almost a $2500 tow bill in all, making about $500 for 6 hours of work. Stoked I get to get my family some nice stuff for christmas

6 hours of recovery labor on one truck and 2 on another. 40 loaded miles @ 8.44 a mile. A disconnect fee and 2 hookup fees. It ended up being like $2275 or so, and it'll sit in the lot collecting storage fees for about 7-10 days @ $42 a day. Insurance companies usually fuck off for about 9 days on average, so it'll end up about $2500 flat. I get a 20% cut of the bill plus the rest of the work I did this weekend. Nice weekend for me lol.

It was a 3/4 ton Duramax that was off the roadway down a 10ft embankment over a pair of tinhorns, and a 32ft gooseneck that was still halfway attached to the truck. And it was blocking the roadway. It was such a clusterfuck. I really don't get how it ended up perpendicular with the road way, but it was.

Well, after I started seeing a doctor regularly 4 months ago and getting some shitty news, I also started taking a med to reduce my uric acid levels.

I haven't had a steak (or any beef) for over 5 years because of gout. Until Saturday, that is. Had myself a nice ribeye, and no gout to follow it.

Look, I know it's not a big deal to some, but it's been a long ass time since I was able to enjoy a nice steak. And after all this other health bullshit I've had to deal with lately, this is a welcome return to reality.
