On smaller subs with smaller power, they seem like they'd be for looks. However, in larger, highpowered setups; they seem like they'd be better because they have a much smaller chance of tearing. Thats how I see it at least... Thats how I see it at least... Correct. In low powered (no more than rated RMS) applications, they are more for the look.
