Space limitations.....

  1. 1. Of the same Brand X sub and same amount of power, would you choose?

    • (2) 12's ported
      13
    • (2) 12's 4th order
      10
    • (2) 15's SEALED BOX

If you had an amp to fully power a model of Subwoofer brand X, would you choose a perfectly sized ported box and 2 12's or a sealed box for 2 15's?

4th order for the 12's might be possible :peepwall:

I would rank like this:

First choice is 12s a 4th order (assuming it's designed well and you have the space to do it right)

Second choice is 12s in a ported box

Third choice are 15s in a sealed box

Would definitely shoot for the 2 12s in a 4th order, and have you considered a single 15 in a 4th order for your trunk?

I have not, but wouldn't the 2 twelves be louder? but considering my max box height is 14 3/4" the 4th for a 15 would be tricky..

it could be done with that height. it's if you have enough airspace that i'd be worried about.

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

More box builds

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

I love car audio so much because I will never be done. I can never win, and I will never get it finished or perfect. It always has me coming back for more, I can never get my fill of it, but I get what I need.

Yes they do. Do you think that in the right box, that 15 could be louder than the 2 12's? If I did that I'd prolly upgrade from a lvl 4 to an XL
