doodcody Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 here's the way i see it. according to science the earth has been around for about 4.5 billion years. to put in perspective how long that is.. if you counted a billion seconds it would take just under 32 years to count to one billion so thats just under 130 years to get to 4 billion if you count EVERY second. the earth has been here a very long time and isnt going anywhere.. but we certainly wont be here much longer so bump while you can:)

The earth goes through natural cycles which we have no effect. One volcano puts out as much Carbon Monoxide in one eruption as all the cars combined put out in 100 years. Reduce your carbon footprint. But keep it to yourself. I see people telling me to save the planet the same way I see people telling me to go to church. They wanted to build a windmill farm in Nantucket Sound a few years ago. My goddamn backyard. Build over 400 200-foot steel towers with moving blades and electronic turbines in the fucking ocean. Are you kidding me? And I've got a 22000-acre, previously decommissioned Air Force Base sitting here and we can't build anything there cause the government needs that space. Planet's gonna be around for a while. The sun's gonna be around for a while. People are killing themselves. Stop covering yourself in Purell. Walk outside the front door. Do something with your life. Keep on moving. Make a difference where you can. But don't live your life in fear cause some talking head on TV told you the world was ending. We'll run out of oil. We'll find something new.
