MrFree
Ok a kid got talked into buying a box that is trash for $275. I felt guilty and said that I would build him a new one. I am just now researching the best box possible for what he has, and I would like to put to rest any uncertainties I have before I start this.1. If the kids problem is not having enough wattage. will I A.make the box as big as possible and tune low or B. Tune high. It is a 4 door Tahoe he has 2 DD 2512's and a 1000 watt Rockford Fosgate . He told me that he like really low songs etc.. Could any Tahoe lovers tell me what you think or anything I should know. I have ideas on the box design already Im either doing an L-port tuned to 30Hz or a port in the middle (t-port?) and I'll try to stay close to DD specs... Could I get some opinions on what you would do for a Tahoe. Thanks and as always I wish you all a satisfying build and a good night. Bump4life
put them in a 5 cube box net. 72-80 inches of port. L port on drivers side. or common port in middle. tune to 36 hz. subs up port back. edit: 1000 rms for 2 2500 series DD is way under powering them. I ran a single 2510 off of 1500+ rms daily and it still wasnt enough for it. unclipped of course. build that box big!! and get a 2nd t 1000 then he will be happy. Emmet
Also.. fair dues for offering to build the box... A lot of people would've just left it at pulling a fast one on that kid for an easy buck, he'll be a lot happier with the non prefab box i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah.. You want this to happen to you? Give decent handshakes people. I was gifted with an innate ability to distribute wholesale ass beatings in a timely and orderly fashion.
