Shouldn't it physically easier for that 2.2 to spin the smaller pulley than the larger pulley?

heres my logic..

With a smaller pulley, the alt spins faster at ANY speed. As the alt rotor speed increases, so does its max output at that given speed.. until the alternator itself maxxes out.

It takes (mechanical) power to make (electrical) power. That mechanical power comes from the engine. As the engine struggles to output mechanical power, RPM drops.

I see your point. I just didn't know if the smaller pulley being easier to spin would help to combat the more resistance the alternator makes @ the higher rpms that it'd be doing as a result of the pulley change. I guess I just didn't realize how much force it really takes to spin the alternator while it's going. This little discussion is going to cause me to try to do some digging around and educate myself tomorrow when I get home from work lol. Thanks for the input, and Sorry Wicks for the little hijack on here.

Back to the topic of this beautiful build :)

OK, time to start some more updates.

We just had the Colorado dBDrag Finals this past weekend.

My recones are still not giving me the same output as my previous stock cones but I didn't do too bad.

Managed to put up a Legal 144.3dB (40Hz) and hold on to take 2nd Place in the Trunk category.

Then I was humbled to find out that the dBDrag promoter awarded me with the "2014 Peoples Choice" award which was for the dedication through the year and the positive attention that people were giving to my build. :D

Now that the sanctioned events are over, I can tear into my build and fix some issues (another post to come) and then finally get back to my trim panels and finish this damn trunk off.

Nice hardware man, especially the peoples choice award! That's sick!

:drinks:

Anything!? Here ?!

I like this build.

NOPE :(

Apologies. Been stuck in between some things for a while.

Also working on selling my condo so there's been some busy weekends getting that prep'd.

My 360.3 is also giving me all kinds of issues. Just lined up my 3rd return last week so now I need to pull it out and send it in again.

I'm in the works of putting together a video of the issues so that they are documented.

Hopefully I can get some updates soon....

interested in another bank yet?

I am indeed, although I am impressed with how well just one bank is performing.

But I'm about to buy a house in the next couple months so I'm holding back on the purchases at the moment.

....unless you are in need of some CT Sounds equipment? ;)

Hell yeah I am! :drinks:

I have a big update brewing, but I'm holding off until I work out a couple more details.

Need to finish off some trim panels in the trunk too and then I'll be updating a lot.

I've just been hit lately with a few annoying issues...
