OK, so we've all seen guys win SOTM and then disappear...

I just want to let everybody know that ain't happening here! :good:

It was a MAJOR goal of mine to win SOTM since I joined SMD.

So a HUGE thanks to all those who gave me great feedback and voted for me so that I could fulfill that goal. :drinks:

I liked how my trunk turned out, but there were areas I wanted to improve on.

Also many of you know that I'm going to have to make some room for that DC9K as well.

That's going to require some major re-fabrication in the trunk. I also want to go active with my 360.3 which means my Rockford Fosgate Punch200DSM is going to get retired.

Sad, but no worries, I think you'll like what I have planned to replace it. ;)

So I'm summary, stay tuned cuz there are some BIG changes coming! :woot:

So, a little while ago I walked up to my garage and heard my air compressor running, but much louder then it should be.

I opened my garage door and found this :o

IMG_0467_zpsdf54827f.jpg

How the hell does it blow the whole head off the motor.................? :trippy:

I needed the compressor and don't have access to do aluminum welding to that kind of level... so JB Weld to the rescue:

fixedcompressor_zps6323f555.jpg

IT WORKED......................for 2 days.......

brokencompressoragain_zpsa5767bf4.jpg

:(

Then I remembered that I had a Lowe's gift card in my wallet.

Had a look around Lowe's and literally stumbled on this deal:

$199 but on sale for $149. No that isn't a typo.

Kobaltcompressor_zpsf7971c69.jpg

A 20gallon 1.8hp air compressor on wheels for $149.

My jaw dropped and I scooped that up as fast as I could.

Works SOOO much better then my other little 4gallon compressor for tools like sanders and saws which are on constantly.

:woot:

Thanks Man! Yeah crazy indeed... Lowe's has some good stuff, although it's dangerous with one right down the street...there 2-3 times a weekend. :o

Thanks Colin! HaHaHa....Much appreciated brother!

Congrats on sotm Wicks! Well deserved! :)

Thanks Nautiluz! It's an honor, your work has inspired me many times, :drinks:

how many cap banks did you get?

im considering adding more soon now

More...? :trippy:

I just got one bank to play with.

In doing so, I found that I should be able to fit in three banks which should be pretty decent. :D

More would be better but I can only cram so much in the tiny trunk.
