Keith77
a lot of sanding Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born. My penis is bigger than your penis I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.

goodvibez
Done yet? Should be haha! Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! Wicks
Looks kinda like clay Mould making material? Done yet? Should be haha! Nope, nope and nope! The blue material is actually thermal pads. Similar to something you'd put between your computer's processor chip and a heatsink. Helps transfer heat away from a device while protecting it with some padding. Since I have this monster 9K inverted, the heat dissipation from the heatsink is limited. I wanted to try something to help with the heat transfer. The amp is actually resting on my two frame rails in the trunk. While not ideal, it should help dissipate some of the heat, better then just mounting to a piece of wood anyways. Here's some pics of how I used it: This post sent with 100% recycled electrons. 2004 BMW M3Mechman 280A 2 - XS Power XP30001 - XS Power D375 500F of Maxwell SuperCaps (soon to be 1000F) iPadMini2Dash mounted O-scopeAudison bitOne (Remote DRC MP) Highs Amp - PPI Art A404 Hertz HSK130 (HSK165 waiting...) Wicks
So I've tried out my first bank of supercaps and the results are amazing... Here's some details on how I mounted them (...in a tiny little trunk) I have a hole under my sub box which is meant for the spare tire on the normal 3-Series, but is not usable on the M3's so they simply put a piece of foam there with an air pump. I have that removed so its just an empty space that is oddly shaped so not much can fit there............except a bank of supercaps, worth 500 FARADS! Here's a tray I made to hold the caps in place: Slides right in under the box: The caps slide right into the tray: Then this simple brace hold them there: I have a couple of grooves cut into the cap holder box. Lets me slide in this piece of glossy black plexi as a protective cover: Caps are in. Now to charge them without creating a massive inrush spark. I pulled out my large battery charger for this. The caps were already slowly charged to about 8V, with a power supply and a power resistor. So the 8V should fool the battery charger on thinking they're a dead battery. Worked like a charm. The battery charger is current limited so no spark and it charged up the caps with a reasonably large current which topped them off in just a few seconds. I'll get more pics and video of the results. It's pretty trippy to see your voltage rise SLOWLY up from 12V to 14V when I start the car. Voltage is noticeably more stable with all current draws.
