Got the M3 all shined up and rolled over there. The competition scored Outlaw with another microphone placed a couple of feet away from the outside of the vehicle which they called "Disturbing the Peace". They were scoring on who had the loudest score outside of the vehicle. Well my best Outlaw score was 149.4dB at 41Hz. Looks like I lost my 50... But then everybody was measuring a little low that day. It was rather sunny and hot so maybe that had a factor. Regardless that score put me first in the Trunk category which I liked......But they were focusing on the outside score more then the Outlaw score. My "DTP" score was around a 120 or so...and another guy edged me out by a couple of dB's. So I ended up with second in the Trunk category. Was a fun show and got some great feedback on the car and the recent changes I've done to it........ I've seen those caps you're selling and I'm SUPER interested. I'd pull the trigger but I'm trying to save a little cash at the moment. Hopefully in the near future. Details on shiny buss bars??? My score dropped after I reconed my XL's with the AR cones. The new cones get down pretty good to the ear, but don't meter anywhere near as good as my previous paper cones. REH Posted August 27, 2014 Report Share Posted August 27, 2014 Just wanted to pop in to say once again I love this car and build, hands down still my favorite on these boards. You guys and your meter troubles are one thing I'm sure glad I don't worry about lol, all the stressing over tenths and what not. It does seem ridiculous to me that even with different cones, going to almost double the power you have lost on the meter... but I have seen that type of thing mentioned in more than a few threads here from those of you who know and play that game.
