meade916
the 6th order bandpass was fun and i will revisit it later for something else....but for this application, it just is not going to work for me. I took it apart and went straight to plan B. I was planning on aiming the 2 Havoc 12's and a port into the cabin after removing some metal behind the seat. I cut the holes and then off too the right, DEEP in my shop, was a beam of light, shining down on my SMD 15. All i can say is, i am on plan C now :D here is todays work. Plan B was to do the 2 12's aimed forward, port in the middle, with cabin isolated of course for best sound...... Then all the sudden i remembered i had an SMD 15 sitting off to the side! Oh its on now! first, i was thinking about putting the sub in the middle with a port on each side. I think i am going to move the woofer to the right and put at least 50" of port on the left (driver side) of it. Then i will proceed to seal off the cabin the rest of the way. Disregerd the hole on the left, that is one of the 12" holes....i am just putting things where i want them. To the side with a port right next to it should devestate my cabin after i remove some metal. tomorrow, i will build the box and test listen to the ports. Then, the butcher starts butchering. Stay tuned. oh and yes some sort of plexi window is MANDATORY. You will see...if i don't end up at plan D which is scrap it all and stay stock LOL!
