Hopefully it will still be chill to drive normally, a buddy put a race clutch in his sti, and now it's a stiff, grabby son of a bitch, either engaged or not, with no real smooth way to shift, lol. But, it is fast, lol. It's just that unless its going to be raced all the time idk if I'd want such a grabby clutch. But I'm sure it's just something to get used to, should be sick! boom50cal Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 My dad has always told me that a dual CERAMIC clutches suck for driveability. I guess a dual steel backed would make it less grabby, more smooth, and handle power better than a single ceramic. I've driven a Cummins with a triple disc south bend ceramic clutch and it was either there, or not. SUCKED ASS for drivability, but it was a highway hauler. Sorry for the slight threadjack Ken. Ordered Friday, and the status is still "shipping now". Been trying to figure out how to seal around the box, having trouble. The shape of the trunk opening and the fact that the baffle is only a couple inches from the opening is tricky.
