fritosaregood Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 stacking enough rings and making a good flare would be heavy as hell and take a month to get sanded down right It wouldnt be any heavier than the octoport. and If you have the right tools then there is hardly any sanding. I build one out of birch that i had to fill with bondo and sand and it only took 2 days maybe 5 hours a day. And for the cardboard tube with a flare idea. If you have access to the 8" pipe you should try it with that. 8" pipe with Mdf ends. 1.5" round over bit, and you have a flare bigger than any of the PSP ports. I showed one of my female friends this and now she is getting into car audio. yeah! bassbarbie isnt just doing it big she is giving other girls a reason to get into the hobby. i have a singer alt and love it. still gotta do the power wire from alt to battery and at 2k rpms i never see anything below 13volts and all i have for batteries is a regular interstate starting battery and an interstate deep cycle rv/marine battery i got through my dad for about 30% under retail. at an idle though after i dont see anything lower then 11.7volts when at full tilt. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

But if she's considering Singer as an option I'm sure she'd value a more in depth description of why you don't like his or MechMans product. I have four Singer Alts and they work flawlessly. Amazing customer service as well I might add. Eric at Mechman is great, but Mike is the fucking man. I text him all the time with random questions(cuz we all know he's a genius) and he's never like "Go fuck yourself bro". Always super helpful.
