Derrick824
Thanks, this gives me some light on me running 2 saz1500's on my stock electrical. Man I am fucked. At 1ohm each it won't be bad at all. Just the addition of a decent battery in the back will easily be sufficient. I was totally surprised at how "gentle" this amp was on the Altima's stock electrical. Stay tuned. The next round of test will include strapping a pair of 1500Ds @ 1ohm (0.5ohm each) in this same car. Thats roughly 3700watts into a pair of T1 15s. Then its on to testing them on a pair of TeamRF 12s in this same car. First will be strapped @ 2ohms. Then strapped @ 0.5ohm (yes that 0.25ohm each). Last will be a round of tests in my Yukon. First will be a pair of T10001BDs against a pair of SAZ-1500Ds @ 1ohm each on my Fi Bl 18s, then onto the 1500Ds strapped @ 0.5ohm on the Bl 18s. Derrick824
when the under 1ohm testing begins it will become lopsided Very true, but that is the reason I made the switch. I compete a lot locally and want the ability to run lower impedances for competition use. The RFs aern't capable so I had to switch to something more competition friendly. My choices were either a pair of Sundown 1500s or a pair of IA 20.1s. Since the 20.1s are harder to find used for a good price, the Sundowns were chosen. meade916
nice test but your testing 2 1000w amps vs 2 1500 watt amps. To me it makes the RF's look better if they are keeping up with an amp rated 500 watts more then it. Id like to see a T1000bd vs a Sundown 1000 or maybe put a RF1500 against the sundown 1500.....you know to make it fair All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! AI James
well if you look at the testing the 1000rms (as you put it) RF took more power to run then a 1500RMS (as you put it) amp

Kudos to RF for under-rating the T1Ks on paper but these two amplifiers are very similiar in actual power output and current draw so this test is very fair. Facts: RF's testing shows average actual power output for a T10001bd to be 1486watts @ 1ohm RF T10001bd has a rated max draw of 150amps. Sundown's testing shows actual power output for a 1500d to be 1510watts @ 1ohm Sundown 1500d has a rated max draw of 160amps.
