dog24fret
If they sell good enough they will move from overstock or discontinued stock. Just like fosgate did with Lighting Audio replace dust caps and speed up production with less expensive materials. I'm not a kick fan but if you like em then go for it.This just shows how a $300 sub could go for $150-250 and still make profit. After the initial start up and if mass produced will cost only $30-70 depending on the brand. Cowboy Escort GrAnny ThUmper The Burp
Robby Holmes
lol i remember when i picked up a single 12" Comp in a horrible prefab box around 2 winters ago, and put it on 2000wrms thing lasted 30 seconds and froze up. couldnt move it with my 200lb body weight LOL my first system back in like 07 was a pair of Kicker Comp 12's with a RF P300.1, in a sealed box. Then I was told by a shop "Hey man, buy this 1200 watt Performance Teknique amp! POWAH!!", so I believed him and bought it and it ended up making them hit less as hard and me not knowing anything I was like "Fuck this shit, I"m getting some CVRs! Fux Yeah!", before I got the CVRs I had my comps on full clip (knowing that now) and they never failed me, CVRs same thing I'm sure, last me about a year til it was stolen from my Caprice. Who cares though, Kicker is entry level stuff aside from the Warhorse (Not sure about the DX line of amps they will be selling, don't they do rated power at least?). Walmart is where Entry Level bass heads go, they will soon catch the audio bug and upgrade their stuff. As said many times, the install plays a bigger role than the equipment. Help out those entry level guys with a nice install instead of bashing Kicker. somehow the surround also ripped a good 2-1/2 inches also weird shit happened to that comp when i put it on that much power, max bass boost and full sensitivity LOL '08 Chevy Cobalt coupe 2.2 base model trunk build: 2 9512iSC flatwound alum 1.5 coils -extra 9500 spider pack -8" platinum carbon dustcaps 1 DD Z1 (.375ohm nominally daily) 3g31 AGM 320a Ohio Gen alt 1 DD S4 4 channel 4 VO-M8v1's (holes cut for 3rd pair) 2 CS 6.5's 2 VO-B1's Sony XAV-601BT all Knu Krystal RCA's Cadence 7band EQ ______________________ 148.3db @ 32hz (burp) 148.4 @ 37 & 38hz (burp) 146.xdb 90sec average (center windshield)
finkster
Very smart move by them IMO. Audiophiles are the minority. They want to appeal to the masses...sorry a business made a BUSINESS move. Let's be real. Most of us stopped giving a shit about kicker a long time ago so who cares where they sell their stuff. I meant it in the sense that when have you ever seen an amp that said "5300watts", whether its a solid amp or not. Just about all amps will have a nice even number like 500, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2500, 3000, etc. The only time you would run into say like 3753rms is birthsheets from underrated amps or clamped power of an amp (correct?) but I didn't want to divulge into all that, just wanted to get across the point that the guy is not putting OVER 5300rms to 2 Kicker L5 15's lol. 2015 Mazda 6 JVF Customz 4.0 Proto 15>Wolfram W4500 @ .5ohm 2 Sundown Neo 6.5 + 2 CT Meso Tweeters (Front) x Kicker KS6.5 (Rear)>JL Audio VX400/4i NSB-AMG35 (front) / 40ah Lithium Headway (Rear) built by Erni Audio & Electrical

People need to stop reading so much into ratings...it doesn't reflect the ability or quality of the parts inside the amp in ANY way. I mean....if I put "400 Watts RMS" on the outside of an Audiopipe AP1500 did it suddenly just become an AWESOME amp? How about if I put "4000 watts MAXX" on the outside of a Sundown 2500? Is it shitty now?
