Yes, there is better equipment, but it is definitely NOT at the bottom of the car audio "Shitty equipment" list ... I know I'm new to the forum but if you think about it, alright, walmart does carry some pretty good brands as far as head units and all. But if you want good stuff, would you truly go to walmart? I'd have more faith in a local car audio shop, even if all I'm doing is buying something and I'll install myself. Like I just went to their website and for amps, it's mainly Boss and Maxxsonics. Never heard of either. But go to your local shop and JL Audio, RF, Pioneer, ect. And if they don't have what you want, most places will order it for you. So Kicker is going to Walmart? That's alright. I'd have to say real car audio people will either order online or go to their car audio shop. Those that are broke or new to the game or are just helping friends out, will go to Walmart. Kicker I think is the best Walmart will sell, along with Pioneer. Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, Linear Power, Blues Car Audio, C- Vegas, Sony ... (there is other brands, But you get the idea) ... Back in the day, These companies Built the Car Audio Yard Stick that ALL other companies measure with today ... To be honnest, younger generation today doesn't know what car audio competition really is ... Seriously, not many younger people at competitions even knows what RTA and B & K meters are ... What stageing and imageing is ... Back then, These companies had customer owned vehicles in competition that went thought alot of test ... Safety, owner verification, owner knowledge of the system, install, cleanliness, Sound Quality, RTA, and "Musical" sound Pressure ... These vehicles KICKED ASS !!! You should be proud of what a company like Kicker is doing to keep the Car Audio world alive !!! They are one of the longest running car audio companies in the world today ... Maybe they know something that you guys don't ... You don't run a industry for 25 years by being stupid ... Kicker has been at the top of the Car Audio Game for MANY years ... We all know this Ane we all know that EVERY car audio product is ONLY as good as its installation ... If its Car Audio, and its making a Valiant effort to keep Car Audio alive, we should be proud ... Kicker makes some real good stuff and they getting into wal mart doesnt mean its bad for consumers. This is the only hobby that I have seen where (most)everyone "thinks" they are an expert. There are a few humble ones, but you don't see them guys on forums or sharing their experience. i resent that i will fully admit that i dont know very much about car audio. im also aware that my system isnt very loud. But in this case, I would buy Kicker amps WAY before I would even think of buying anything PowerBass makes ...
