HunterJohnson
I'm just saying the peak is high. I'd like to be under 40, I know the box isn't tuned to 41hz ...every car is different. i peak at 45. some cars peak at 55. some at 35. yeah but generally if you tune your box lower you will decrease your peak Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass

alaskanzx5
ive got a focus zx5 and there are a few people on here with the zx3, i had a single rf t2d412 wired at 1ohm running on an old t1500.1bd did a 141.xx sub up port up but that was in a 3.5 cuft box prefab round ports. then in a box built according to the specs/design in the manual that came with the sub (2 cuft ) i did gained about .2db port and sub facing back lost a little facing up and more facing foward. for me it seems like the smaller boxes do better facing back and the bigger boxes do better facing up. oh and those scores where at 46-48hz on the dash sealed. prefab box i dont know the tuning for but the built box was 40hz if i remember right. also had 2 t2 12"s in a prefab off the t1500.1bd port back subs back do a 146 at 51 hz but a better built box ( 4cuft after discplacement 16 sq in of port per cuft ) tuned to 45hz like the prefab facing back did a 144.x 51 hz hopefully getting it metered agian today. turned the box sub up port up and it sound/feels a good amount louder gets the car flexing more but wont know for sure till its metered. besides the first prefab box all my boxes have been slot port. the hatch lid will move a lot, i would sound deaden it and fill it with expanding foam. when/if you fill it with that foam take the license plate light out and hang the wires down so that when needing new bulbs you can get the light out. ive heard of people gaining and loosing spl from sound deadening so it hit or miss. i havent done much in that area so i dont know yet. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. fecupe2001
yeap, sub up /port up it`s the best on that focus with 2 subs, single sub i´m pretty sure you would get louder with sub up or back/port side, with that amount of power, i would do somthing like 2.25 cubic feet and single 6" aeroport tuned around 44 hz for comps and for daily whatever you want, that would be way louder IMO I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
