Semper
So, I've scrapped the whole bolt terminal idea.. My Sub & new Batt is going to be here within an hour or two. I'm just going to run my wires straight through the box, gonna drill a whole.. So, what should I use to seal it up? Fiberglass resin is probably out of the question as I don't think I have that in my garage & I'm pretty much out of money. I do however think I've seen some wood glue, but idk how well that will hold up, or even seal off the hole if that. Quote New Setup; H/U; Pioneer DEH-80prs. Wiring; 2 runs of 2/0 OFC & Big 3. alaskanzx5
make the hole small and force the wire through, if you cant get the wire through use the same bit and run it through the whole one more time then try agian. get the hole just big enough to where the wire will barely force through it and then use some caulkin, silicone, or the rubber spray. SnowDrifter
Silicone, hot glue, tape, really anything. It's not a structural part of the box, and it's not a huge gap to fill. When you drill the holes, drill them JUST large enough to run the wire through. You should have to push a bit, so the wire is 'pressure fitted' in the hole. Danny Ruiz
I have used electrical tape and wrapped it around thick on the part of the wire that goes thru and jammed it in
