Sound deadening on a budget?

i bought some audio technix b stock the 60 mil when i got it i felt ripped off but after installing it i must say it does its job definately happy with the results

Was there something wrong with it? I am thinking about ordering B-stock, some say it's like A-stock some say it's crap.

deadner is like subs or amps there crappy ones there are ok ones there are better ones and then the BADASS ones

i dont like dealing with the stuff and would like to do it 1 time so i buy what i think is the badass stuff only brands i would use is dynamate extreme or SS damp pro

for real if you cant afford it wait till you can you will be way more happy

Please dont. They are AWFUL. I bought some a while ago, thinking surely it will help with midbass response, right? WRONG. it sounded so lifeless, and tinny. Huge waste of money. I even tried resining them for stiffness. Nope. Dont do it. On the deadener front- I use audiotechnix bstock, ive LOVED it. Ive used better, yes. But at the price point its at, its unbeatable, imo

I used Audio Barrier, no smell and no peeling. And I am pretty sure some people will say it's crap. But it worked for me. Does the thickness of the foil make the most dramatic improvement for the deadener? if so audio technix shows 4mil on their 60 mil prodcut while reg damplifer shows 6.5mil. Damplifier is 10 sq feet for $40, damp pro is the same foil thickness just more adhesive. Audio Technix has 7 mil on their 80 mil product.

You seem very serious about audio and If i were you id spend the 60 bucks and get 80 mill B-stock from audio technix which is 7 mil thick and 2mm thickness overall. That seems like the most cost efficient product to me, and shoot its sound deadener you will find other areas im sure if not u could sell it. You are getting it for $2.40 a square foot of what looks like some of the best stuff. shoot 20 sq ft of damp pro is $105 and this stuff seems on par with that.

Hope this helps, just make sure ur clearances are good
