Pierce Barrett Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 I'm replacing the power and ground in my car to 0 awg and plan on doing the big three upgrade too. I'm on the fence on choosing which brand to buy though. EXO from YouTube talks Audio Technix so I checked there site and I am guessing 20 feet will be enough to run from the battery to the back seat and maybe the big three too. But I can get 20 feet of 0 awg power wire from Audio Technix for $70 but I also did some looking around and found Cadence 0 gauge on AudioSavings which is $50 for 25 feet. I just wanna buy the right stuff. Help. Robby Holmes Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 if your on a budget, buy some KnuKonceptz 0. its got a higher strand count, and all around just better wiring Quote '08 Chevy Cobalt coupe 2.2 base model trunk build: 2 9512iSC flatwound alum 1.5 coils -extra 9500 spider pack -8" platinum carbon dustcaps 1 DD Z1 (.375ohm nominally daily) 3g31 AGM 320a Ohio Gen alt 1 DD S4 4 channel 4 VO-M8v1's (holes cut for 3rd pair) 2 CS 6.5's 2 VO-B1's Sony XAV-601BT all Knu Krystal RCA's Cadence 7band EQ ______________________ 148.3db @ 32hz (burp) 148.4 @ 37 & 38hz (burp) 146.xdb 90sec average (center windshield)
08tahoe Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 Which ever brand you chose I would recommend to get ofc. I personally like knukoncepts kolossus fleks kable Quote
Pierce Barrett Posted July 10, 2012 Author Report Posted July 10, 2012 Audio Technix is OFC it is 100% oxygen free. But the Cadence just says "High Purity Oxygen Free" so I'm un sure if its 100% or not. CleanSierra Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 First of all, don't trust EXO for product recommendation. I wouldn't trust him to build a birdhouse. If its video editing, hell yeah, he's a boss at that, but explore options for SURE before making your purchase. I KNOW that my Knu wire is great, and I personally like the XScorpion too. DB Link isn't terrible for the money but doesnt bend for SHIT Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Bump4life Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 knukonceptz or db link are my recs. go knu though for sure if you can which you should be able to!! HatersGonnaHate Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 First of all, don't trust EXO for product recommendation. I wouldn't trust him to build a birdhouse I was waiting for this. My .02 though, I've had my hands on both Audio Technix and Knu, and they're both really good in my opinion. Pierce Barrett Posted July 10, 2012 Author Report Posted July 10, 2012 Just a question why do you say 'don't trust EXO on product recommendation?" Just a question. The reason I ask is he seems like a stand up nice guy. Looks like I'm gonna go with Knuconceptz wire, gotta alot of recommends for there OFC wire. CleanSierra Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) I don't trust his building skills, or his product recommendations. I'm sure he is a stand up guy, but that doesn't mean I'd let him wire my truck or design a box for it.... *Edit- Knu wire is some seriously legit stuff, you won't be disappointed. Its really flexible and it's got tons of strands. Edited July 10, 2012 by CleanSierra Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Pierce Barrett Posted July 10, 2012 Author Report Posted July 10, 2012 Audio Technix is 3.45 a foot and Knuconceptz is only 3.95 but is thicker and higher strand count. So Knuconceptz it is.
