Instead of just gear in a ride, it was living and breathing stuff- you know? You can check out the pictures in my Build or UBL, but 'm still rockin' my circa 1998-99 MTX Road Thunder amps (no frill- just a gain and bass knob), same era 4" JBL GTi speakers (the ones with 2" voice coils, 150 watts RMS, and Kevlar cones), Cerwin-Vega Vega! series subs (the kevlar reinforced cone baby brother to the original Stroker), old 3/4" McIntosh Silk Dome Tweeters, and CARVER 15 band "The Board" EQs (Bob Carver's 15 band eq/line driver that easily walks out 12 volts RMS through the RCAs). Back when 1 Watt was more like 3 and output was measured at 12 volts, not 14.4. Back when head units put out .5-2 volts through the RCAs and your processors stepped it up into the stratosphere. Back when subs were measured by how good they sounded and what their sensitivity was- not by "how much they are excurtin..." Back when the Equipment was Made with Pride by hand in the U.S.A.
