Subs cost $150 ea retail, amp was bought 2nd hand for $150 ran that setup HARD for 4-5yrs until the amp died. stock alt, Lightning audio bluetop under hood. 4-Kicker CompVR 12's (from right b4 they stopped having the big K logo) run by a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 600.4 (I paid $444 BNIB)-2 channels bridged to each pair @ 2 ohm. bout 300rms/pair. This setup would be running today (I believe) if i dint "experiment" w/ too much power. 2 subs burned when I put a 1200.1($409 on sale) to each pair. The other 2 I sold. That setup ran for about 3-4yrs and won me the trophies in my avatar. It was only after that that I put one T1200.1 to my 4 new (2005) CVR 12's and thats how it is today. fourlug Posted January 9, 2008 Report Share Posted January 9, 2008 I usually never keep my stuff long enough to do much damage lol, the only sub I've blown was a 12" refurbed sub from xs cargo for $10, pounded like shit for what it was worth lol I used it for a couple months off 200-230 watts (clipped!) and two of them burped a 140 =D I'll try and find the brand name here.. Jextel Posted January 10, 2008 Report Share Posted January 10, 2008 hmm here's my list 1st system: lightning bolt amp 250.1 amp $40 still working(2-3yrs and bought used) pioneer 10" woofer (cost about $40 and lasted prolly afew months) 2nd system plye 2000 watt amp(yea right 100 fried in afew days) 2 PA 10's(about $55 ea. and lasted afew months) 3rd system JL e1400d(FREE and still worked great to the day i sold it) 1 10" pa sub(blown as uasally) 4th System audiobahn 800 amp(150 lasted great and sold it) 1 12" type r(120 blew up) 5th system wmd 12"(80 lasted for a while then blow up) ma 401sx(220 still works) I had other systems but dont fell like typing and i guess it wasnt worth it..kids just save up and buy it one time instead of replacing..or at least but a temp system that will last then upgrade..and PLEASE read alot before instaling.. oo and my system in my sig is what i have now..(currently running have power until i get another battery) Quote http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3042878TEAM DEADLY HERTZ "GET LOUD OR DIE TRYIN"only the loudest will survive.
