I have no idea what kind of voltage drops I have, but I do have an issue with dimming headlights, dome lights, etc. I will be doing my big three at some point in the near future as well as other electriacal upgrades and along with being able to see the improvements in voltage as I upgrade, I would like to be able to see where my battery is at on a day to day basis. The problem is I have no idea where to buy a digital voltage meter, what brands are good and not, as well as how to install them as I have never done so before. I dont want to cut into my dash to install, so something that can be mounted near the stearing column would be a plus. Any advice helps! Thanks!

Best / Cheap option is the Stinger Volt meter ~ 25$ depends where you get it. They work fine, adjustable. I own one, and i like it. No problems, other then user error which i thought was the meter, but wasnt.

Best / Reliable / Accurate / Pricey ~ Dakota Digital. Not sure on pricing. But i know there the best to get, haven't heard a bad word about them yet.

Don't think it's out yet though.

Most all are simple 2 wire hookup + & -

And don't waste your time on a Stinger.

The REN850S you list is 450W RMS and then you have a mid/highs amp, If you are experiencing dimming with that relatively light equipment I'd say your electrical is in rather bad shape, the voltmeter will show that but really this is about start working on it, have your alt, the alt cables and your battery checked.

Yeah I was wondering about that too. I have a new battery, although not a yellow top. But I really didn't think I needed to do electrical upgrades with this small of a system, its juust a basic car and I do thee work needed to it, but I am getting the 90,000 mile service done to it soon so I am going to have them check all of that when I go in for it.
