reharrac
put a remote mount display on the ad-1 and a switch to change from dummy load to reactive load and it would be the perfect product no doubt

CJ18
Let me ask a question about a product that will do the job. When would I be able to purchase an Amp Dyno?
reharrac
so none of you guys have ever used multi meters to clamp test amps? Sure have. Not very accurate though. but it does give a reference point to compare . even the temp of the resistors in the AD-1 can throw off the readings a little bit. AMI CUSTOMS
If the amp dyno is using a non inductive load, with power factor of 1, then when you hook an actual speaker up to the amp,(ie inductive load), you induce a power factor and now the power from your AMP dyno, is meaningless, that is your peak power, no? Once you have an inductive load you have a power factor which reduces the power output by that factor. Anyone else catch that??? lol TEAM SOUNDQUBED -- TEAM SOUTH TEAM S.O.B. - Founder & Captain 3x Streetbeat World Record Holder 2017 MWSPL 1st place Mayhem & 4th Xtreme 4 2016 MWSPL 1st place Mayhem/2nd Adv 4/2nd Xtreme 4 2015 MWSPL 2nd place Mayhem & 4th Xtreme 4 2014 USACI 2nd place Streetbeat 5 - 162.6 db 2014 MWSPL 2nd place Xtreme 4 - 144.9 db 2013 USACI 1st place Streetbeat 4 - 161.9 db 2013 USACI 1st place Street Q+ - 162.8 db 2013 MWSPL 3rd Kaos2 & 4th Xtreme 4 2011 USACI 2nd place MOD 1001-2k - 160.0 db 2011 MWSPL 4th place: Adv3 - 157.8 db, Kaos2 - 150s db, Xtreme4 - 140s db 2010 ARSPL 1st place 501-750 - 160.3 db Arkansas loudest Best score to date 164.4 db - Termlab Outlaw Streetbeat 4 - 161.9 db Streetbeat 5 - 162.6 db MWSPL on Dash Legal door open (Music) - 162.5 db Sealed on dash Legal (Music) - 161.1 db - Termlab THE BLACK NASTY CURRENT BUILD & FAB The Black Nasty (6) 15 Rebuild Log 2012 (4) 15 Walled Sierra Build Log Evo X build log Facebook page The Black Nasty

So in other words, it's really just a "peak wattage meter" Yeah sorry OP, but I think the car audio world will probably just stick with Tony D. on this one... Nice try though. reharrac
so none of you guys have ever used multi meters to clamp test amps? ... do you even know what clamp means? put a remote mount display on the ad-1 and a switch to change from dummy load to reactive load and it would be the perfect product no doubt dont buy one then. The product is what it is. No one wants to hear your recommendations. You are one person against countless others who would/will love the product just the way it is (not that tony or steve are taking advice, they know wtf they're doing). do you know what a current transformer is? and i started the thread so if you dont like it then dont read it and dont post
