Fosgate subwoofers: Good or Bad?

I was just wondering what everyone's opinion on rockford fosgate subwoofers is. Are they built well and are high quality products? Or not so much?

There are many options MUCH cheaper that will sound better and get louder. They aren't bad subs, they're just pricey for the ones that sound really good. I wouldn't touch anything below the P3 series. Which leaves you the T0, T1, and T2. The P3s if you HAD to I guess. It really depends on what price and if you personally like the way they sound. I've never been wow'ed by the newer punch series subs. The old HE2s and HX2s were a well built sub.

I heard the power series have like a metal cone so do they sound like metaly bass? And i always thought the were overpriced as well as jl audio. I know that there amps are amazing though.

I would not buy them for sure. Their amps are solid. The last subs I liked from Fosgate, as said previously, were the HX2s and HE2s. The HEs we're not shabby either. If you're wanting something of quality, look at a lot of the products guys use around here, Fi, DC, Skar, Sundown, and try to listen to some series to see what you may like.

I've heard t1s and they were pretty nice.

Only thing RF has that I would use are the T line amps & team rf subs.

Not saying they're bad by any means, those are just the only things produced by RF that peaks my interest.

i can fault there equipment,

as for price, in mainstream stuff the quality to $$$ ratio if very good and there stuff last a long time if set correctly,

if you compare it to underground brands, it will never fair well, as will the other 99% or mainstream brands,

I rock 2 t1's and although that's all I've truly experienced (never been around skar, sundown, anything)... I have no complaints. Friend of mine had t2's and would constantly move his rearview around. Although the car was a small dodge neon or something like that, somewhat impressive considering he didn't go all out on it. No alternators, no bank of batteries (just 2), etc. So as long as you don't give them dirty power, give way too much power, they are pretty good subs.

But it's as everyone will say on this forum... I may like RF and think they're the best (just an example), you may not like them at all and want something else. It's all up to the individual.

Ive had the basic rf p2's back in the day runnin 300X2@2ohms sounded good... got them off my bro for free so i figured what the hell but the lower end rf's are basically junk I seized one and completely blew off one of the terminal on the back of the sub.... like the other fellas i would do the t series......still pricey though...
