kandiman71874 Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 The plexi is mounted to an old music stand that telescopes for adjustable height which is L shaped. Suction cups to the plexi which puts the sensor hole away from the vehicle and is placed 12 inches outside the passenger side window at the lower window seal height. The class is designed to take a measurement as if you were cruising down the road bangin basically. Not real sure where the 12" rule came from with it but its the standard in Midwest Spl for all of the Xtreme based classes. here is the total class break down Xtreme Division ( 30 second music average ) - This division measures that SPL outside the passenger vehicle. Its to replicate driving down the road with your windows down.
