OldsBoomer Posted October 18, 2012 Report Posted October 18, 2012 Ok guys im getting another vehicle since the S10 is not totaled. So i have two thoughts either a civic hatch or a burban. Both will use Q's. Burban would get a 4 18" 6th behind the cpillar civic will get either a flat wall or 4th with 12's. I want to make a low ground power and i know cone area helps alot with that. I also have 2 gm alts one brand new with an extrenal rectifier and regulator for a 16v setup. My worry is i wouldnt be able to get this alt on the civic. Anyone know if it can fit in there somewhere? Burban will have either a 5500 on 16v or 2 3500's on a 16v and civic would have a 5500 on a 16v setup Suburban Coming Soon

NOT to mention you already have 2 beefed up Alts that fit a GM and they would probably drop in into the burb I like hondas but they dont really like a TON of weight in them but for a big build i would do the Burb... He already has 2 HO alts for a burb... so that would be the more logical choice... Haha My new one maxed out excessive amperages test bench and i think the burban was my first choice just wanting to save some on gas haha. The 4x4 will be nice though. Smoke you new my plans for the S10 and how stupid low and loud i wanted it. You know more of im looking for my goal eventually is 153 around 25hz i dont think the hatch will allow me to do that. The only way you'd possibly get the GM alts to fit is to do an entire A/C and power steering delete.... But even then, it's not guaranteed to fit. The stock location and the surrounding area on the older hatches is about 2 inches away from the fender. Little bit of a tight squeeze. Obvious vote is for the Burban.
