Pioneer~Saturn
Thanks, eclipse Be sure to check it out next year, more power (adding a 3rd M3a) and hopefully won't look like a total turd like this year And it's a 200 sq inch port that flares out to the horn that you see basically from the rear deck area after making a few turns ion the trunk. I'm not sure what you're asking for as far as a ratio, it's not a bandpass. It's about right at 12.75 cubes net, 200 sq inches of port area, tuned to 25hz Some mat added... May have a little more progress later but no guarantees, heading out for dinner...I have a feeling tomorrow chit will really start to pop Team Tupperware <First dual-alternator 'real' Saturn (pre-2002) on the planet>(3) 15" Fi SP4's fed by (2) M3a's strapped @ .66712.75 cubes net @ 25Hz with 200 sq inches of port area (lowz...?)Stock alt position (custom bracket) 225 amp Mechman Roof = steel and fiberglass (u mad?)(2) XS Power D3100's, (2) rhino batts, No battery upfront (for now, smh)4 power+ 4 ground runs of 1/0-gauge to rear"If its been done before...you're doing it wrong" : ) "stfu about scores and float $hit..." SlamminBeats
that opening is 200 sq in? or am i missing something. It seems down right massive lol for ratio i meant port per sq ft
MrSkippyJ
I think behind the subs is 200sq in. you are seeing the end of the horn. I could be very wrong about this though. tacomaguy1
he said it right above.....200 sq in of port than it flares into the horn so horn mouth not counted in that calculation because it's obviously more than that Team Flex Issues

Pioneer~Saturn
Yea, tacomaguy has it (thanks) the actual port is 200 sq inches and since it's 12.75 cubic feet of airspace that's 15.6863 sq inches of port area per net cubic foot of airspace if that's what you were wanting to know...and then it flares out to about 4 times that size upto the baffle/bpillar. Here's a few shot's of the enclosure layout to help you see what's going on...and from the end of the port in these shots, it rolls over the rear deck of the car and then starts to flare upto the b-pillar. Ofcourse this is for the original 2 18's layout, I rebuilt the baffle for 3 15's a couple years after, specs remained the same. Pioneer~Saturn
was this simmed in hornresp mayhaps? :) Nope Love this build man !! Did you ever meter it at slam? I'm surprised I missed ya! Thanks, I did bassboxing and did a 150.X without testing/finding a good song, it has more in it for sure and next year I'll have 1.5x the power and this year it wasn't sealed at the bpillar and also was borrowing the amps at the time (ended up buying them afterwards) so I didn't really go as hard as I could've. thefourth
Do werk Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
