Sundown SA-15 power handling

I know they are only rated at 600 rms but what could they handle for daily music? I have a guy who wants to trade me for my AQ HDC3 15"

I've seen people throw 1500 at them daily. You have to know what you're doing and feed them clean power.

I tune my amp using the dd-1 so I make sure there's no clipping and am running a SAZ-2500D. I just wanna make sure it's not going to be something that will blow easily

My buddy is running 2 SA-15' at 1 ohm on a BC2000.1 Daily, for the last few months and they barely even warm up!

the size of the amp has little to do with it, it the watts it feed the sub and final ohm load,

that amp will be fine no matter what coil config you have

dual 2= wire in series 4ohm final 600rms

dual 4= wire in parrell 2 ohm final 1200rms

He wants to trade you an SA-15 for an HDC3 15? As much as I like Sundown, I'd keep the HDC3. I'd trade the HDC3 for a PAIR of SA-15's though, which would love that 2500.

Keep the AQ man. It's rated more RMS from the get.
