Pioneerchuck
Hey I was wondering if anyone has used or is using Deka batteries? They have some really good pricing on their stuff but I'm a little weary to go buy one just because they don't offer too much info and I haven't really heard about them. So if anyone has some good info on them or their opinions, that'd be awesome.
Lbox88
They're decent, some companies take them, rebrand, and resell them as their own. For example, Deka intimidator batteries are rebranded as: Superstart AGM (O'Reilly auto parts) NGT Xtreme (Carquest I THink?) Diehard Gold AGM (Sears obviously) Duralast Platinum AGM (Autozone) And Last I know the Diehard Platinum AGM is actually an Odyssey battery. CHEVY4X4BLAZER
I know a guy who uses 8 of them to support a warhorse. Seem stout. I'm leaning towards using them in my battery bank.
crunkjuice1
Yup Onebadmonte runs them for that warhorse. Very good setup. He's the main reason I have had them batteries on my mind as well, for the price of two D3100's I can get three group 31 Dekas.

Nightshade
They're okay. I ran an Intimadator g34 in my car for about 3.5 years before it shit on me. crunkjuice1
when looking at specs the deka G31 reserve capacity and amp hour top the G34 battery. cranking amps are not what I am shopping for and I'm sure those are the main reasons you see a noticable price increase. Space is another thing to look at I would be ok with three G31's rather than six of the 34's. I do see what your saying though about power but sometimes there ends up being a compromise between it all.
