I tried to play "win or lose" from one of decafs zips, and normally I slam that low note and it just wasn't there. So I think my sub was stiff..... Any advise? boom50cal Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 The note might not have been there as dominately because your heater blower motor was running, maybe your marker lamps or headlights were on, fog lamps, mirror heaters, seat warmers, etc: dropping the voltage. Kinda doubtful on your setup though. Voltage drop probably isn't much of an issue. Let em warm up a little and it'll be fine. But they are at very low volumes for a few minutes until I get out of the neighborhood onto open road, so I'm not sure if that counts. I think you should be fine. Look at all the people shaking ice off their car going full tilt? I haven't heard of any of them having issues. I think at most, your spider pack will be a bit stiffer. Cold thing shrink - same amount of "stuff" in a smaller space means higher density But then there is also the issue of humidity... Air can't hold as much water when it gets colder either - so that would reduce the density too.
