Ghoagland Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 I have two sa12s on a saz1500 but I only have an xs d1200 in my trunk everything stock under the hood! My system dosen't seem very loud to me but my voltage commonly drops to 11.5, if I have a higher voltage like 13.5 on full tilt will my subs be louder. So my main question is does low voltage effect the output of watts on a amp?

How big is the power wire from your front battery to the one in the rear? What are you using to measure voltage drop and what part of your electrical system are you testing from? Cynicalbass210 Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 I'd replace that run of 4g with 0g all around. Including doing the big 3, that should help a bit. Also, make sure you have a good, solid and clean connection where your grounds are. As for the cheapest to do at this point, upgrading from 4ga to 0ga is probably the cheapest route as of right now. You should be able to do that for somewhere in between $100- $200 depending on brand bought and amount. And is your under the hood battery stock or aftermarket?
