Is a box tuned to 41 or 42 hz safe for daily driving?

Pretty sure you can still play music at low 40s Hz (I've seen some people do that here on the forum).

vw passat, don't give out incorrect info. You can tune to whatever you want for daily since you should tune around what you listen to. If it is techno/house/etc 40s are fine, rap/ hip hop is generally around 33-36 depending on preference, and so on. Each genre has its typical freqs. You can tune to 40 and still play down in the 30s fine if the box is done correctly. It come down to MANY factors whether it will work well, work great, or fall on its face. Just saying so and so tuning is good for daily is a common generality but not set in stone.
