zydrix Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 alright guys, here is my question. i am going out this morning and putting some sound deadner on my doors. i was going to use acetone but realized that i dont have anymore. my question to you is. can i use such things as, ammonia or isopropyl alcohol. or if you guys may know of any other thing i may use. sorry mods if this isnt in right section, didnt feel like this was a post to do in the second skin deadening section considering i am not using there deadener right now. My build 98 s10 2.2 3 american bass HD 15s with psi soft parts. (on there way here) atomic at-3000.1 (soon) 146.2 outlaw @39hz., bad alt an bad batt when termed (old 2 12" build) alpine 6.5s in doors infinty 4x6s in dash. clarion cz201 HU. mechman 240a H/O alt stuff i still need. SHCA 2/0 wire SHCA 1/0 to 2/0 adapters Atomic AT-3000.1 Lots of sound deadner new mids an highs, still debating on what to do. A few Deka g31 batts.

I did my whole truck with a can of Invisible glass. SLYentist Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 any cleaner that will work on conductive surfaces without streaking. most multi-purpose cleaners will work. Cables and wires almost never fail; the terminations do.

That and just straight vinegar works too and as long as u let it all dry before application it won't stink up ur car either...
