mrd6 Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 No need to do the wood filler first, just making extra work for yourself! I do all body filler and it works fine. Do your best to press it into the hole first but the air holes happen to me too sometimes. If so just do another layer and sand it down too. STEALTH808 Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 I used only bondo for my box. Just have to make sure you apply enough bondo and really force it in there. this thread is full of THATS WHAT SHE SAIDS. revoracing247 Posted January 21, 2013 Author Report Posted January 21, 2013 yeah im just not that skilled yet with bondo and im afraid im gonna take too long trying to make sure all the holes are filled and it's gonna dry on me before i can put a good amount down. though i might just try going for it. just hope i don't have to apply second layers for like 60 of the screws ~ If it was easy, everybody would be doing it ~
mrd6 Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 Mix in small batches to begin with until you get comfortable with it. That way if it does dry up on you, you dont lose too much of it. My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
alaskanzx5 Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 wood glue and saw dust from cutting the wood. mix it up and fill the hole in with that then sand it. if needed add more then sand again. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
NT_Hardcore Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 i fill with bondo. the more you try the better at it you will get. small batches help prevent waste. getting your mixture down for bondo to hardener takes a little bit of time too.
KillaCam Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 Bondo wood filler. Push it in the holes and scrape the excess. It dries fast and sands easy too so you don't have to worry about it coming out when you sand it. And the fact more than one person agrees does not make it a circle jerk, it makes it a bukkake scene and you're in the middle Chick took 3 shots of Jager, and then, pissed in my mouth.. revoracing247 Posted January 23, 2013 Author Report Posted January 23, 2013 alright i kind of just went at it with the bondo and i think i was able to get it ok. but we'll see how it turns out when i sand it down. just wanted to say thanks for the help guys! ~ If it was easy, everybody would be doing it ~
OrangeJuiced Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Next time, try to skim the bondo flat with the wood. You just want to fill the hole, not build up a mountain. It creates more work for you. Good job though. 2001 GMC Sierra Build. Body dropped and Juiced
