wellington
Seeing as a sub's displacement is rather small, it won't really make a difference if you invert them because the box is too small. The only difference I see is cooling with them inverted and being able to smell them quicker for whatever reason how does inverting a sub help cool it please explain......... How does sticking your head outside the sunroof help cool your head vs having the windows cracked a little bit? CoritaAlterado
If its a ported box wouldn't inverting the sub raise the tuning? Because it would be like making a bigger box with the same port size. Or am I wrong?
hayden55
The main point of inverting the subs is for looks. but some of the smaller reasons is that is makes it where the sub is in open air so cooling is better and if something goes wrong with your sub its quicker for you to spot it, and if you have a sub with a really big displacement inverting it gets all that junk outside of the box and is basically the same as making a bigger box. 1.25ft3 box - .15ft3 sub dispacement = 1.1ft3 boxes actual space after displacement, so without that inside that box you get the full 1.25ft3 2006 Ford Ranger XLT 3.0l-Rockford Fosgate 6x8s 3-ways- Sundown Audio SA-8- 3.64ft3 tline box in naked mdf- Kicker zx750.1- 0/1 Gauge wires- Pioneer head unit stuff to come:16 steve meade 18's7 rockford fosgate t15000bdcpa fleet of escaladeslol jk new car?
