SPEAKERSRULEMYWORLD Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 1, 2013 I know a lot of you guys have already said that AQ's don't do well in 4th orders. i am aware of this, so i decided that if it doesn't sound the way i want, i will just buy a new woofer that will work better in this box. any suggestions? id like to say under 600, but ill accept any ideas! plus it cant be any more than 12.75" tall!!!! I'd make it as short as you can. 33hz is pretty darn low for a 4th order haha. Unless you have a 20hz addiction the port will not be changeable when the box is finished, but i do love me some subsonic frequencies! i love the 20's and below Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've always herd the HDC3's don't like 4th orders. a lot of nice work, but that woofer will not work well in 4th orders. they are far from being meant to be used in sealed enclosures/4th orders. i went into this project knowing that it is not the greatest woofer to put in a 4th order, so ive decided that if it doesnt sound the way i want it to, i will just buy a new woofer. any suggestions? id like to say under 600, but ill accept any ideas! plus it cant be any more than 12.75 inches tall!!!
