The job I work used to pay $3.71 an hour for Health and Welfare on top of our reg salary which was used for obtaining insurance. Was great because I had a good plan and the extra money was extra pocket money. As of Jan 1st 2013 they stripped our health and welfare wages and now they insure me for free which is bullshit because they are saying it costs $593.60 to insure me by myself lol... I was insuring me my daughter and my girl for $650 a month. So basically they took away $600 a month from us and gave is some bullshit free insurance. Now I have to figure out how I will be able to afford to insure my family because through my work it would be $900 a month taken from my check.
