Except for the cosmetic portions of the box, it is done. It is pretty loud. I will take pics and post them up soon. The amps are running at .5 ohms, and I have voltage problems. So I purchased two more HC2400's from Kinetik, and a battery isolator. I will put them in tomorrow in the back of the box, inside it, and run the wires out of the box through the back. Should be ok. We were looking into mounting them under the truck, but I don't think that will work due to clearance issues. Definitely satisfied in the sound.

you don't really need that battery isolator bro. as i've heard from most people who have experienced them ....... they tend to drop your voltage just slightly. i'd just run the batteries parallel and call it quits.

The fiberglass will eventually all be hidden by the trim panels. So no. I put the batteries in today and the sound is a little better. It hits nice and low and hard, but not like I expected. The amps play hard and then every minute or so, it will hit really hard for about one second or so and then play about half as hard. I guess I need to get a second alternator.

What happened. Did your truck flood or something? I have the same model as you and they had no problem getting unscrewed. They had absolutely no rust.

i bought it used from a dealer. dont think anything happened...but always possible i guess. front ones by the buckle were bad, the ones by the column werent so bad to get out. but the back ones just wouldnt budge.

ooooh...and if you get a second alt...DEFINITELY let me know. please . i been lookin for a bracket for dual alts for a while

i wish i could see pics but i'm on a gov. comp. i had a feeling you were in when i saw your boots in the back of your truck when you showed some of your projects. all those setback probably made it seem like another day back in.

The seat belts were not that difficult. You got to use your big boy strength. Ha ha ha.

Same problem with a 94 Explorer.

Had a torx head.

Used an impact socket and a Ratchet.

Literally twisted the Torx head into the shape of spray can cheese and still didn't get ti to budge.

Now I don't feel so bad about my fiberglassing expedition, I guess it has happened to us all at one time or another. Great build where are the baffle pics?
