Remember this, we are on this site a lot, it is easy to navigate for us, a new member likely has very little idea on how the site is layed out, understand how it runs and how to properly find things, hell look at the thread full of experienced members trying to figure out how to find their content after the "my content" glitch started,

Yes i know it is not rocket science, but when you start a new site it can take some getting used to, and if the easiest thing they see to do is post a question, that is what will continue to happen, repeated questions or not.

Another thing to add to this, is the search option on this site has pretty much never worked for me, at all.

I always get the same massage "No results found for 'anything im trying to search' for"

If a noob is having the same issue as me, he would probably right away just post the question in the forum, because no results were found on the topic they are searching for.

It does not matter what I type in, there is never any results.

please email N8ball a link to a thread where someone was banned for a "bullshit" reason. There is ALWAYS a reason. I would say email ME the link but EVERY TIME someone emails me complaining about how they were "banned for no reason", i look into it and it turns out it was a good reason. A bunch of Eddie Haskel motherfuckers. Playing innocent until i read the transcripts of what was said....

80% of ALL questions asked have been answered before on this forum. I think that we should just make a reference section that is full of stickies and divided into several sub sections pertaining to category. Listing answers to the most common issues and or questions. With links to calculators video charts examples w.e. take a while to get a thorough and complete answer and then make it read only.

If someone thinks it needs to be updated a mod could edit it and lock it back.

I personally think the search feature on this forum in the upper right sucks balls. If you google w.e it is though, you will likely find an smd link in the first few results.

It would take maaaassssss time to.put something like this together, but it'd be worth it. Someone asks a stupid question just pop in the link to the reference section hit reply and your done.

soooo.....you want me to make the forum lame? LOL - like catagorize every post, leave no room for discussion and lock everything? that sounds like fun NOT None of that is going to happen. It would be much nicer IMO if people would pay more attention to where they post themselves so i don't have to read a subwoofer topic in the head unit section (for example).

also, the forum search function is awesome now. I agree it used to suck but it doesn't any more.

the process of selling my woofers anyway LOL. plus the corolla was junk.

150's that know less than me, just because they have more money to

There is a difference between spreading

knowledge and spreading misinformation. Alot of us have seen you do a

fair share of both.

Not sure if it is on purpose or if you just

dont know any better on the info that you are giving but the majority of

us will not try and help someone unless we are 100% sure the detailed

information we are giving is true and can be backed up with factual

information or some kind or electrical law.

years ago i was wrong about a bunch of topics, but i've learned by being

corrected by smarter folks and reading. i stay out of the topics where i

dont have much knowledge. like how many batteries/alts someone would

need to support X. i solemn post in those, because i dont have a damn

clue sometimes.

This is why probably 90+% of my posts are non-audio related. I only jump in if I have a question or if it's something in my very limited knowledge, otherwise I keep my mouth shut.

Unless

they are a troll (like that incident a week or so ago) or there is nohope in swaying them to the correct info (negative ohms guy)
