I mean I thought my sdc2.5s were loud, but can't believe I gained as much as I did just by swapping. And it isn't just the earometer. flex, flex all over. So the hds3's are just as loud, if not louder than when the windows were down with the sdc2.5s, but the windows were up with the hds3s. I was dropping to around 13.0 while driving at this point. Got curious, so I rolled the windows down (even though I was supposed to wait till tuesday(tint)). Holy shit. Highs dropped off a bit, but the lows, the lows. Stupid is all I can say, even without the port plug. Some new issues popped up. Before the worst, and I mean worst voltage I would see at idle was 12.9. I would see 13.3-4 driving, full tilt. My voltage is now 12.2 driving, full tilt, with windows down. I got a suggestion to check my batts individually, because they were reading 12.9 together. After a bit, D925 (front) was reading 12.58 and D3100 was reading 13.08. Gonna charge up the d925 by itself. going to have it load tested tomorrow. I'll go from there. It is a year and a half old, but I am the second owner.. not sure what XS will do if it is bad. I always charged these babies up every other weekend. Really didn't want to be in this position being in college, plus with my fuel pump slowly going out... DubNDodge Posted February 21, 2014 Author Report Posted February 21, 2014 Just keeping track of info in here. charged the d925 by itself separately last night. unhooked it as soon as I woke up. was reading 13.1. right before I started the car up, about 20-30 minutes later, it was reading back at 12.58. came home today, did the same songs, followed by the one that dropped me down to 12.0 12.2. lowest I saw was 12.9. Got it load tested. It showed 468 CA (the rating at 32 degrees) It is supposed to be rated at 550 CA. 550*(5/6)=458 So imo it shows that a a cell is bad, or close to it. Talking to some people, rather get some good advice before calling XS. irritates me that the d3100 rests at 13.0- 13.1 and the d925 is 12.58. Only 6 months in age difference. Gonna try snowdrifters battery trick to try and bring my d925 back to life/ higher resting voltage, well technically it is going as I type this. Gonna drop it down to 10.5v and then charge it up. Strange though, I pulled it this morning and it was reading 12.86v. Who knows. Gonna redo the ground in the back as well while everything is torn apart. The paint I sprayed on flaked up and rust got under it. So I'm going to sand it down and put some undercoating junk on it. Here's a few pics of what I've been tinkering with. Old halogen bulbs come in handy haha. Only 1 was drawing about 4.5-5A. So I whipped up another one real quick. Snow was saying that it should be around 10-15A.
